GIUSTINA MISTRELLO DESTRO

Giustina Mistrello Destro is an entrepreneur from Padua.

Since 2015 she has been a member of the Board of Directors of Aristoncavi SpA, the family business founded in 1958. Since 2023 she has been Chair of the Fondazione per la Ricerca Biomedica Avanzata Onlus – Istituto Veneto di Medicina Molecolare (VIMM) in Padua. She is Responsible for the North-East of the Marisa Bellisario Foundation and ‘Ambassador’ of the Cini Foundation in Venice.

Former Managing Director of Alfa Cabel (an Aristoncavi Group company) for 25 years until 2000. A member of the Executive Council of Unindustria Padua in 1982, in 1991 she became President of the Gruppo Piccola Industria and Vice-President of Unindustria Padua.

In 1992 she was the first woman to enter the National Council of Confindustria and in 1993 she was appointed National Vice-President of the Central Council of Piccola Industria in Confindustria. From 1997 to 1999 in Confindustria she was appointed to represent female entrepreneurs for work and business development projects in the National Commission for Equal Opportunities. From 1999 to 2004 she was Mayor of Padua and later Deputy of the Republic in the XV and XVI Legislature.

She has been on the Board of Directors of Banca Antonveneta, Teatro Stabile Veneto, Società Autostrade Serenissima SpA, Società Interportuali di Padova e di Rovigo, Vitrociset SpA, The Venice International Foundation (of which she is also one of the founders), Autostrade di Venezia e Padova SpA (for this company, later also Vice-President and President).

A member of the Management Committee of the Confindustria Veneto ‘Campiello’ Literary Prize since 1994, in 1996 he became its President (until 2000), introducing the ‘International’ and ‘Youth’ sections.
In 1994, she received the Bellisario Prize.

In 1995, she was awarded the title of Grand Officer of the Italian Republic.
